The main objective of BENAZIR NASHONUMA Program is that Unemployment in Pakistan has increased to a great extent due to inflation. This unemployment was great for the children born in the backward areas of Pakistan.
The health of children born in these areas was severely affected by malnutrition. The health of children born in these areas is very bad. The bodies of these children cannot grow properly due to a lack of nutrition.
Pakistan has a chronic malnutrition rate of 40.2%. 28.90% of these children are underweight and 17.7% of children cannot grow due to malnutrition. According to statistics, Pakistan has the second highest rate of malnutrition in the world.
An aspect of the unique development program is to take responsibility for the child’s health from birth to two years. The Benazir Development Program aims to provide support for the proper development of the mother and her baby.
The government of Pakistan has further increased this program. It has increased the number of children to 1.5 million and has allocated an amount of 32 billion rupees in its budget.
This level of malnutrition ranks Pakistan far above all other countries in the region.

Primary Objectives of Benazir BENAZIR NASHONUMA Program
The three-year development program has a budget of Rs 8.3 billion. Under Benazir Development Program basic health facilities are provided to mothers and children.

- Reducing weight gain, anemia, and micronutrient deficiency in pregnant women

The Government of Pakistan is now increasing the amount allocated for pregnant and lactating mothers. It is expected that the amount will be increased from two thousand to seven thousand.

The geographical scope of the Benazir Nashonuma Programme
Initially, this program was implemented in 14 districts of the country, and after its success, it is being implemented across the country. Currently, under the program, 109 facility centers have been established in forty-five districts of the country, while these centers will be established in all districts and tehsils across the country by the year 2023.
Aim of Benazir Nashonuma Program
Benazir Nashonuma undertakes a conditional cash transfer intervention to increase the accessibility of its beneficiaries to health and nutrition services. Its main objectives are as follows.

The objective of this program is to combat stinging among pregnant and lactating women and their children under two years of age by providing two per PLW and child (boy) and an increment of Rs.25 hundred per quarter in cash.
