BISP Eligibility Criteria
The Benazir Income Support Program is designed only for the poor, indigent, disabled, and those whose monthly income is less than Rs 6,000.
- In order to join the Benazir Income Support Program, the following steps must be completed.
- To be eligible, the family should be less than six thousand rupees.
- A valid identity card for any woman in the family is mandatory.
- There must be a widow or divorced woman in the family.
- There must be persons in the family who are physically and mentally disabled.
- The households considered ineligible to pay cash through the Benazir Income Support Program include those people.
- Those who have already associated with the Government of Pakistan eg army or any other government employee
- Those families who are receiving pension or post-retirement benefits from the Government of Pakistan are declared ineligible.
- Family members who have more than three acres of available land are eligible under Benazir Income Support Program.
- Those persons who have traveled abroad are declared ineligible.
- Bank account holders are also not eligible for this program.
