Zewar e Taleem Program (Punjab Education Foundation)

Zewar e Taleem Program is for those students who for some reason cannot continue their studies after primary. The government is giving conditional cash to girl students in 16 districts where the literacy rate is very low.

The objective of this program is to attract adolescent girls to education and meet their health nutritional needs and improve their attendance at school. This amount is being disbursed through the branches designated by the PSPA preparer.

Punjab Social Protection Authority (Government of Punjab)

Punjab Social Protection Authority (PSPA) is providing cash financial assistance to more than 730085 people in cash transfer and asset transfer programs through three different conditional and unconditional programs viz., UCT for persons with learning disabilities and Bricklin Program About 67069 people with disabilities are funded by PWDS.

According to the vision of the Prime Minister, through Ehsaas programs in Punjab, the weak and poor sections are to be provided with financial assistance and given a respectable position in society.

According to the programs created by the federal government, the Punjab government has created the Punjab Social Protection Authority program to ensure economic and social security for the poor and deserving sections of the country.

Through this, human development and social security in Punjab are to be increased rapidly and poverty is eradicated and women are empowered.

Scholarship amount

In 16 districts including Bahawalnagar, Bahawalpur, Bakhar Chiniot, DG Khan, Jhang, Kasur Khanewal, Leh Lodhran, Muzaffargarh, Okara, Pakpattan, Rajanpur, Rahim Yar Khan, and Wahari districts, monthly stipends are being given to girls in government schools which will be up to Rs.1000.

This stipend is given to female students on a quarterly basis but will be given on the condition of 80% attendance. New students taking enrollment will also be given a stipend after successful biometric verification. The number of beneficiaries of this program is 700000 lakhs.

The aim of Zewar-e-Taleem Program is to increase the literacy rate in the country because most of the families in Pakistan do not like to educate their girls so they are being given stipends to make them aware of getting an education.

Eligibility Criteria

The following are the eligibility criteria for Zewar e Taleem Program.

  • 80% attendance should be there.
  • The stipend will be given to the students of the 6th class to the 10th class.
  • Help will be given to needy and poor girls.

The stipend will be given after biometric verification by the Education Department.
